So, I discovered that I'm obese! a couple of months ago
Don't get me wrong, I knew I weighed more than I should, but obese?!
Obesity seemed like such a  far away and foreign  occurrence to me. Obesity, I assumed, was a condition that only the unhealthiest individuals could have. Surprisingly, I meet folks who are substantially larger and infer that they must have poor eating habits and thus are consequently obese. But not  me? Me, who eats a primarily vegetarian diet? To obtain a healthy weight, I only needed to do a few pushups and sit-ups, as well as jog for a month, according to me. I assumed it wasn't that horrible.

I'm aware of the predisposing elements that brought me here, but they won't help much with this discussion since I'm already here. I also don't get too worked up over it. In fact, I think about it about as much as I think about the form of my head's crown. That's not at all. Obesity is not merely an aesthetic issue; it is an epidemic that poses a threat to world health.

BMI (weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared) largely beneficial, has some drawbacks. It does not account for the negative effects of intra abdominal fat. As a result, two people, an adult and a teen, can have the same bmi despite the fact that the latter may have a higher fat percentage.
It also fails to factor in the morbidity and mortality linked with more moderate degrees of overweight.

Obesity is linked to a variety of health problems, including high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes. As a result, I set out on a mission to change the current quo.
I've tried fad diets like One Meal A Day, Eat Stop Eat, and Intermittent Fasting to lose weight. Even though I had some success with them, I discovered that it was not something I could commit to for an extended period of time. The preceding diets have helped me lose a proportion of my total body weight, albeit the benefits aren't evident because I've always been a big girl.

The perks to losing weight are my clothing fits better, and I feel better about myself as a result of decreasing weight.

I'd like to lose weight gradually, as this has been shown to be not only more sustainable but also healthier. As a result, I've set out to lose weight by creating a calorie deficit. Anyone interested in losing weight should be aware that weight loss on a long-term basis necessitates a high level of discipline. Also, do your homework before starting a weight-loss program to prevent jeopardizing your health.
